Bourbon and Family: Six Siblings on

It all started with a simple idea—six siblings + spouses, a map of Kentucky, and a thirst for adventure (and bourbon). The plan was set: a weeklong tour through the heart of bourbon country, stopping at the most legendary distilleries, swapping old stories, and maybe even making some new ones. Our first stop was Woodford Reserve, where we marveled at the copper pot stills and sampled a silky-smooth batch straight from the barrel. Sanjay, the self-proclaimed bourbon connoisseur of the family, swore he could taste hints of caramel and oak. The rest of us just nodded, savoring the warmth. Next up: Maker’s Mark. Anita insisted we all dip our own bottles in the signature red wax, which led to a friendly competition over who had the most artistic (or disastrous) dip. Spoiler: Thomas’s bottle looked like it had barely survived an explosion. By the time we reached Buffalo Trace, laughter was flowing as freely as the whiskey. We shared memories of childhood mischief—like the time we tried (and failed) to build a treehouse that collapsed in under five minutes. The irony wasn't lost on us as we now stood in a place where craftsmanship and patience were everything. The final stop was a small, family-run distillery tucked away in the rolling hills. It was here that we met an old bourbon master who reminded us that good whiskey, like good family, only gets better with time. That night, around a crackling fire, we raised our glasses. "To bourbon," Sonia toasted. "And to the best siblings anyone could ask for," Prince added. And just like that, the tour became more than just a road trip—it became a cherished memory.
